Canyonlands National Park
For a change of scenery, drive to Canyonlands in Utah. Instead of lush, sprawling mountains, here you’ll find a vast, dry land punctuated by tall, spiraling buttes and deep, gorge-like canyons. This region offers a different kind of beauty than the mountains do, but it’s just as breathtaking. Spend your days hiking, biking, and visiting the amazing rock formations. Also make sure to visit Island in the Sky, a compilation of sandstone cliffs 1,000 feet in the air.
Arches National Park
Arches National Park is located very close to Canyonlands and is about 360 miles from Denver. Home to over 2,000 natural stone arches and hundreds of rock pinnacles, the views at Arches do not disappoint. Squeeze through a guided hike of the Fiery Furnace for a unqiue experience, or enjoy world-class hiking and climbing. There are a variety of camping options in Arches, Canyonlands, and nearby Moab.
Zion National Park
Zion has a rich, Native American history and is Utah’s first National Park is located in southern Utah, about 40 miles from St. George. Whether you are hiking The Narrows or taking a guided horseback ride, there is something for everyone at Zion.
