Under the stars, away from the city lights with only the comfort of your truck and your freshly rented pop-up camper, itâs pretty easy to forget about civilized behavior (that’s the whole point of escaping, right?)
Everybody knows the basics: everything you bring in with you, you bring back out. âZero-wasteâ might be hip in corporate culture these days, but in camping, itâs always been the golden rule!
Pop-up tent campers are great fun – they take focus and a good plan to make sure you have the gear you need. Minimizing your needs is a fun challenge, something everyone should try at least once!
Because space can be at a premium, it can be tempting to try to burn what you donât want to take back.
Keep in mind though that aluminum cans donât burn and itâs good manners to clean up your fire pit for the next guy.
It’s also good to use biodegradable soaps; make sure you pour any waste-water at least 100 feet away from any clean water source – nobody likes the taste of soap!
